Sunflowers

1963. The young nurse Anna takes up service in the juvenile department of a mental hospital. Here she meets and becomes fond of sweet Anna, a fifteen-year-old schizophrenic. Against the backdrop of an uneventful struggle between Doctor Marie and the rigid Doctor Oreste for new experimental treatments, the relationship between Anna and Lucia deepens, forcing them to make decisive choices for their respective lives.

Catrinel Marlon

Born in Iasi, Catrinel Marlon began working as a model at the age of 16. She was the female protagonist of Luigi Lo Cascio’s first film (“La Città Ideale”, 2012), and was awarded the Explosive Talent Award at the Giffoni Film Festival in 2013. In 2015 she was directed by Brando De Sica in the short film “L’error”. In 2016 you received the Kineo award in Venice as a young revelation of Italian cinema. In addition to Italy, she stars in the series “CSI” and in “Gomera”, directed by Corneliu Porumboiu. You directed a commercial for Bulgari for Save The Children on the occasion of International Children’s Rights Day. “Sunflowers” is his debut film
